Resilience is far from a single trait that some people have and others lack. It's made up of distinct capabilities: how you understand your responses to situations, how you regulate them under stress, how flexibly you think when circumstances change, how you hold direction through uncertainty, how you draw on the people around you, how you adapt in real time, and how you recover afterwards. Each of them can be developed, and most of us have never looked at them separately.

The Resilient Pathway has two parts. Your profile maps your resilience across 16 competencies and seven domains, in about ten minutes. Your modules then set out the development actions that follow from your results. Each action names the tool in Resilient: The Adaptive Resilience & Agility Toolkit to apply, at the proficiency level your results place you. Your Pathway carries only the actions your own mapping selects, so two people with the same overall score can receive different ones. The time you spend goes to the competencies where it will make the greatest difference.

The Pathway is an online capability mapping and twelve months of development modules. Nothing is posted, and it does not include the guide, which is sold separately or in the Set.

Your results open as soon as you finish. A summary report follows by email, and twelve months access to my.edaith carries your modules, your dashboard and your certificate.

YOUR MODULES

Five priority modules come from your results, taken one at a time, each with the tool to apply and progress saved as you go. Work through them at whatever pace suits. The access lasts twelve months.

THE VIEW OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN YOU WORK

Included with your Pathway, and entirely optional. Nominate four to six people; five minutes each. Once at least three have answered, their combined and anonymised view sits beside your own, competency by competency, and their written comments return as themes. Up to three further modules join your Pathway from the comparison.

WHAT THE CAPABILITY MAPPING IDENTIFIES

  • Your overall resilience capability and how it distributes across seven domains
  • The specific competencies where you are strong
  • The specific competencies where development will have the greatest leverage
  • Your resilience style identified as one of seven distinct patterns, with detail on what it enables and where it may be quietly limiting your results
  • A development action for each of your 16 competencies, calibrated to your proficiency level and matched to a tool in Resilient
  • Optional: how the people you work with see each of your competencies against how you see them yourself, with their written comments summarised into themes rather than shown as written

HOW IT WORKS

With the purchase of the Pathway you will receive your unique access code by email. Complete the online capability mapping at your own pace; it takes around 10 minutes.

When your feedback round closes, your results gain the comparison and a feedback supplement is emailed to you.

FOR TEAMS

Teams can also build this capability from a shared baseline: Pathways for each member, then re-mapping to show what moved. See For Teams. Volume pricing applies automatically at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What is the Resilient Pathway?

A: A professional capability mapping tool developed by Dr Tina Gallico that helps individuals evaluate capabilities supporting resilience across 16 competencies and seven domains. Completing the 10-minute form returns your results online, with personalised, evidence-based development guidance for every competency. A summary PDF is emailed to you within a couple of minutes, and the full report whenever you ask for it.

Q: Who is it for?

A: Professionals who want to perform better. Leaders who want to better understand their own resilience and their team's. People responsible for capability who need a tool grounded in the academic literature, specific enough to design targeted development and credible enough to present to senior stakeholders.

For teams, individual results combine into a picture of where current collective resilience breaks down, such as change navigation or social connectedness, and where initiatives to build a team's capacity to recover from setbacks would best be targeted.

Q: How long does the form take to complete?

A: Approximately 10 minutes.

Q: What aspects of resilience are mapped?

  • Self-Awareness: Understanding your own resilience resources, values and stress responses, and recognising how your personal context shapes the way you respond to adversity.
  • Emotional Regulation: Managing your emotional response to stress and difficulty: building the psychological capital to withstand pressure and recovering effectively from acute distress.
  • Cognitive Flexibility: Reframing challenges, tolerating uncertainty and shifting your perspective to find workable paths forward when circumstances change or initial approaches fail.
  • Future Orientation: Maintaining a meaningful sense of direction and purpose under adversity, using goal-directed thinking to sustain motivation and navigate uncertainty.
  • Social Connectedness: Accessing and sustaining the relational support that enables resilience, and contributing reciprocally to the resilience of others.
  • Adaptive Response: Reading situations accurately, operating within your sphere of control, navigating change with structure, and adjusting your approach effectively in real time.
  • Recovery & Growth: Sustaining momentum after setbacks, extracting genuine learning from adversity, and emerging from difficult experiences with enhanced capability rather than simply returning to baseline.

Q: How quickly will I get my results?

A: Your results open as soon as you finish, and the PDF is emailed within 60 seconds of completion (check spam or junk if you can't see it).

Q: What does the report include?

A: When you finish, your results open as an interactive online profile: your overall score and level, a 7-domain profile with a visual radar chart, your resilience style from seven distinct patterns, your top five strengths, and the five competencies where your modules start. A summary PDF is emailed to you to keep. The full report, whenever you ask for it, has a page for each competency in your modules, including any your feedback round adds, with what it is, why it matters, where you stand and a development action, and ends with a checklist of development actions to tick off offline.

For those with the companion book, your results also recommend specific tools from the Resilient Essential Skills Series Guide according to your scores.

Q: Can I redo the form?

A: Each access code is single use. To better understand progress after development work, purchase an additional Pathway. 3–6 months between Pathways is recommended to allow development effort to embed.

Q: How is this different from a personality test?

A: Personality tests describe traits that are largely fixed. Your profile focuses on learnable capabilities that you can systematically develop. The goal is to understand your current capability and identify precisely where to focus development effort for the greatest return.

Q: Do I need the Resilient book to use this tool?

A: No. The Pathway is complete and immediately actionable on its own. The companion book provides deeper frameworks for those who want structured development support.

Q: Is team purchasing available?

A: Yes. Pathways can be purchased individually for each team member. Orders of 5 to 19 get 10% off, applied automatically at checkout. For 20 or more, or for a Team Capability Map, contact us for a quote.

Q: How long do the people I nominate have, and what if they do not respond?

A: They have 14 days from the day you nominate them, and Edaith reminds anyone who has not answered on the fourth, eighth and twelfth day. Three answers are needed before anything is shown to you, which is what keeps individual answers anonymous. If fewer than three have answered when the 14 days are up, you can extend the round once by seven days, or nominate someone in place of a person who did not answer, or simply leave it. Leaving it costs you nothing: your own profile, your modules and your certificate are unaffected, and no comparison is shown.

Q: What do the people I nominate see, and what do I see of their answers?

A: The people you nominate receive an email with your name, a link and instructions. The questions take about five minutes to answer: one per competency, two optional lines for comments, and a way to decline. They are reminded at most three times over two weeks, and declining ends the reminders. They never see your results or anyone else's answers. You see who has responded, and once at least three have, you see their combined view alongside your own for every competency. Their written comments reach you as a summary of the themes, never as written, and their names and email addresses are deleted when the round closes. A person who declines appears to you only as not having responded.

Q: When do I see the comparison, and can I see it sooner?

A: Your results gain the comparison when the round closes, 14 days after you nominate. Until then you see how many people have answered and who has not, and nothing else, because a picture built from three answers that later becomes five would only invite you to watch it move. Once three people have answered you can close the round early from your dashboard and see the comparison straight away. Anyone who has not answered by then can no longer take part, so waiting usually gives you the fuller picture.

Q: Does asking for feedback change when I get my certificate?

A: While a round is running, yes. Your certificate is issued when you finish every one of your modules, and an open round holds it until it closes, so that what the people you asked said is part of what you complete. Closing adds up to three capabilities to your modules, and those are part of it too. If fewer than three people answer and the round ends without a comparison, your certificate is issued as soon as you finish the modules you have.

Q: Is my data secure?

A: Edaith only collects your name (optional), email address, and your responses to deliver your results. Anonymised results contribute to aggregate benchmarking which you can opt in to receive. Individual data is not shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy.

Q: What is my.edaith?

A: Your account for everything you have completed: your results, your modules and your certificate, on any device. There is no password. Enter your email address and we send you a one-time sign-in link.

Q: How long do I have access?

A: Twelve months from the date you complete your profile. The PDF report emailed to you when you finish is yours to keep permanently.

Q: I cannot see my results when I sign in.

A: Your results are tied to the email address you entered when you started your profile, which is not always the address you ordered with. Sign in with the address you entered on the form.

Your view, and theirs

Included with your Pathway, and entirely optional. Ask four to six people who have seen you work. Their answers are combined and anonymised, and your results show their picture of each competency beside your own. The bar is where you placed yourself. The circle is where they placed you.

Your own view How the people you asked see you Example results

  • Confirmed strengths You and the people you work with agree this is strong. Worth using deliberately.
  • Hidden strengths They rate you higher than you rate yourself. Capability you are not yet claiming.
  • Blind spots You rate yourself higher than they do. The most useful thing the round tells you.
  • Agreed development areas You and they agree this needs work, so up to three of them join your modules.

Requesting feedback from others is optional. You see who has responded, never what any individual said, and their written comments reach you summarised into themes. Names and addresses are deleted when the round closes.
